The Brief
Turning a Brand into a Charging Experience
By 2022 Be.EV had already established itself as one of the UK’s fastest-growing charge point operators, but the next stage of growth required a step change in how charging environments were designed and delivered. The ambition was not only to add more chargers but to build sites that reflected the Be.EV brand, delivered a premium user experience, and set a new benchmark for accessibility.
To achieve this, Be.EV needed a partner who could translate a refreshed brand into real-world charging spaces, moving from logos and guidelines on paper to fully realised physical environments. The challenge was to create a turnkey delivery methodology that would lock in cost certainty, speed of deployment and consistent quality across an expanding estate.
The brief also included testing new site concepts such as alternative bay marking systems, canopy designs, and signage strategies that would make Be.EV hubs instantly recognisable. This meant developing pilot sites, trialling colourways and layouts in situ, and securing physical sign-off from stakeholders before scaling the approach nationwide.
Ultimately, the goal was to ensure every new Be.EV site became more than just a place to plug in, it had to be a branded, accessible, safe and welcoming environment that encouraged repeat visits, increased dwell time, and built long-term driver trust.
